Overview
Seven ancient stone bridges in a turquoise karst forest. UNESCO South China Karst World Heritage site, private day tour from Libo with English guide.
About This Tour
The most photogenic karst forest in southern China. Xiaoqikong — "Small Seven Arches" — is named for an ancient stone bridge of seven arches that crosses the Xiang River near the entrance of the park. From there, a 12-kilometre valley unfolds: turquoise pools fed by limestone springs, white-water cascades dropping over moss-covered rocks, and a wet subtropical forest you walk through on raised plank paths. UNESCO inscribed the South China Karst (which includes Xiaoqikong) on the World Heritage list in 2007. Beyond the headline bridge, you'll find six more old stone arches scattered along the river — hence the name — plus shallow rapids you can wade through in summer.
This private day tour from Libo (gateway town with its own small airport, served by direct flights from major Chinese hubs) takes you through both the lower and upper sections of the park, with time to swim or wade in the famous "68-step waterfall" of staircased pools when the weather is right.
