Hangzhou: Jiande Blueberry & Meicheng Private Day Trip

Spend a gentle, flavourful day in the Jiande countryside near Hangzhou on this fully private tour, built around fresh fruit, easy riverside scenery and time-honoured small-town food. Your English-speaking guide and private car collect you from your hotel and handle all the driving.

The day begins at a blueberry farm where you can pick and eat your fill of plump, freshly ripened berries straight from the bushes (eat-in is included; berries to take home can be bought on site). Afterwards you enjoy the Three-Rivers Greenway, a scenic, riverside path with around 90 percent forest cover. We follow a comfortable, virtually flat stretch with charming rest stations along the way, and you choose how much you wish to walk; the car can also carry you ahead to the next stop, so there is no pressure at all.

Around midday you arrive in Meicheng Ancient Town, a true food-lover's destination where the Xin'an, Lan and Fuchun rivers meet. Sample local specialities such as Jiande tofu buns, Yanzhou crispy cakes, Meicheng griddle cakes and sweet rice treats, and climb the old plum-blossom-shaped city wall for lovely river views. Your guide brings the town's thousand-year history to life as you explore.

With a relaxed pace, a local lunch and easy, optional walking, this trip is comfortable for all ages and a delicious window into authentic riverside China. You are returned to your Hangzhou hotel in the evening.
