About This Tour
Step into a real-life forest fairy tale on this 1-day mountain hike from Shanghai to the Kuaiji Mountain range. Coach pickup from Xuhui at 7:00 AM, arriving at the Huangkeng Village trailhead around 10:30. Climb through ancient torreya groves where many trees are over 1,000 years old. The path winds beside a constant stream of small waterfalls and clear mountain streams. Reach the Zoumagang summit by midday for panoramic views of the rolling Kuaiji range and traditional villages tucked in the valleys below. In the afternoon, descend through pine forests and sweet-smelling herb meadows. End at Dongxi Village, an old hamlet that has kept its original character. Coach back to Shanghai, arriving by 8:00 PM. This is a beginner-challenge hike (10-65 years) with significant climbs but no technical sections. Bring your own picnic lunch, water, and proper hiking shoes.
